Antiques  Sign

This quilt was selected to highlight the antique quilts that were on display at the 2002 Fiber Arts Conference. 

The word “Antiques” is machine embroidered on a hand-dyed cotton fabric.  The border fabric was cut and pieced with a strip of red fabric towards the outer edge and a black strip of fabric on the inside. The corners have been carefully mitered and the entire piece was machine quilted following the intricate designs in the fabric.
