Karina Hittle, Owner Of Artful Offerings^(TM), Wins First Place In Merri Stitches^(TM) Mini Quilt Competition

Massachusetts' Artist Gets Recognized in Regional Quilt Competition

June 2003 -- Karina Hittle, fabric artist and owner of Artful Offerings was recognized by patrons and visitors in this second annual quilt competition, sponsored by the Merri Stitches Sewing Center in Portsmouth, NH.  The theme for this year's competition was "We Love Our Pets" and Karina submitted a wall quilt entitled "Karina's Essence of Nutmeg."  The quilt features an elegantly framed and embellished, free-motion thread painted portrait of Nutmeg, a Yorkshire Terrier that was the pet of Karina and her husband Audie.
